Dan Coutant - Producer/ Engineer/ Mix Engineer
From 1996 through the present, Dan Coutant has been involved in the American independent music scene. Most notably Dan fronted a quartet called JOSHUA from 1995 through 2002, who recorded 3 records for Doghouse Records (Get Up Kids, Hot Water Music, All American Rejects) and toured with such revered acts as AT THE DRIVE IN, THE GET UP KIDS, THE STEREO, JETS TO BRAZIL and many others. During those formidable years he had the opportunity to work along side the genre’s best producers such as John Agnello, J Robbins, Geoff Sanoff and many others. Dan went on to sign to Agnello’s label in 2003, Baryon records, and picked up several tricks of the trade in the making of his first solo effort entitled YOU’RE WELCOME.
Most notably Dan has engineered and mixed records for bands like THE NUMBER 12 LOOKS LIKE YOU, CON AMORE, ENDICOTT, GHOST AMONG THE DEAD, THE FINALS, A DAY AT THE FAIR and many more. If you’re looking to make records that sound REAL, an adjective that lacks heavily in the sound of modern rock records, Dan Coutant should be considered as your first and best option.
